Bute’s debut at Stockholm Furniture Fair 6-10 February 2008

Bute Fabrics, the Scottish contemporary textile manufacturer, is making its debut at the Stockholm Furniture Fair, 6-10 February 2008 on stand C07: 71. The company will be exhibiting its extensive range of high quality fabrics, including the ever-popular ranges - Skye, Tweed, Tiree and Braemar. Furniture upholstered in Bute Fabrics will also be on display on the stands of Materia/ Klaesson, Offecct and Swedese.

Skye is the first ever fabric designed by award winning design partnership Barber Osgerby. Designed in collaboration with the Bute Design Studio, led by Catherine Murray from her studio on the Isle of Bute, Skye is a new and highly original fine-rib upholstery fabric that comes in 36 crisp colours. The wide and vivid colour range encompasses tonal apple greens, turquoise blues and intense oranges. Original colour combinations of yellow/grey and lilac/mushroom, create surprising and unusual colour effects giving unique depth to the range.

The Classic Collection is a new range, comprising two fabrics, Troon and Turnberry. Troon is a small houndstooth check, and Turnberry is a subtle woven herringbone in a palette of colourways to complement the more dramatic Troon.

Tweed is a new take on a very traditional fabric, with a diverse colour palette of cool blues and greens, hot reds and pinks and subtle neutrals. The simplicity of the weave shows off the high quality 100% pure new wool to its best effect.

Bute will also be displaying fabrics from its Tiree and Braemar range. Tiree, is a highly textured bouclé that is suitable for both heavy duty and domestic upholstery applications. Braemar is a distinctive fabric with a large honeycomb texture created with a sophisticated weaving technique. Both ranges are available in extensive colour palettes.

Come to the stand and see a preview of Bute’s two new striped fabrics, Kintyre and Kingarth, to be launched in the Spring.

Bute’s debut at the furniture fair coincides with the appointment of our new Swedish representative, Anders Snygg, who will be helping the company expand its reach in the Scandinavian market. Tel: +46 33 257 960 or info@anderssnygg.se.
