| The Wool Story Durability Wool is extremely hardwearing, due to the resilience of the natural fibre and its high strength to fineness ratio , and offers superior value for money measured in performance years. The individual fibres are springy and not easily crushed or flattened, which provides excellent appearance retention, avoiding the cheap and shiny look even after years of hard wear. These fibres have a high coefficient of friction, which allows them to grasp each other securely, bringing good tear strength, dimensional stability and seam security to the upholstery. Wool is also inherently resistant to dust and grime, but if stained has good soil-release properties and will clean easily using the recommended forms of treatment. |
